Things You Can Do The Days Before Your Wedding To Make The Big Day Less Stressful

Make sure you designate someone to be your “go to” person.

Need coffee in the morning? Ask that person to grab it for you. But most importantly give their number to everyone you need to be in contact with or even just give that person your phone. You do not need to be texting everyone all day and coordinating vendors, etc. Pick one person that you trust and ask them to take care of things for you. This way you’re taking in every moment of your wedding day without also taking in everyone’s stress.

Separate whatever payments you have to make day of the wedding into envelopes.

You do NOT want to have to take time from your day to have to count out money. Just write names on envelopes and stuff those bad boys and give them to someone you trust or your parents.

Have everyone pay hair and makeup BEFORE you start hair and makeup.

This one is a big one for me. So many times I have couples that cannot start getting ready because bridal party is still trying to figure out how much they owe everyone and how much to tip. TRY to discuss that all before hair and makeup gets there and this way by the time hair and makeup finishes up they’re already paid and then they can just pack up and go and don’t have to awkwardly sit around waiting to be paid. It even helps if you just put together all of the money before they even walk in the door. OR have everyone venmo you and you pay!

Have your breakfast and lunch orders ready the day before.

I know this sounds silly but EVERYONE forgets to eat. If you’re going to feed everyone and not just yourself make sure you have a catering order placed ahead of time. This way it’s one less thing that you have to worry about and you won’t get hangry.

We all have that friend that’s late to everything…. Tell them everything is a half hour before it is.

Make a schedule for your bridal party and send it to everyone.

This goes hand in hand with the last one. Make sure everyone knows where to be and when. If you don’t tell them you can 100% guarantee that at least one person will not know they’re supposed to be with you and will be nowhere to be found. For the ladies - it doesn’t hurt to give them a schedule of hair and makeup as well so you don’t have a bunch of people in the room with you if you don’t want it!

Pack an emergency kit!

Have some bandaids, some safety pins, some advil, a tide to go pen, etc! I’ll do another post on what to pack in an emergency kit and you’ll be able to see everything I recommend but these are my top items!

Lay out all of your items that you will need to be photographed.

I know I’ve said this before but have everything you want photos of set aside so you don’t have to go running around for it. You’ll be so so thankful you did! Set aside your shoes, invites, rings, jewelry, perfume, something borrowed, etc!
